They're out there dying to protect liberty and freedom back home, the **least** they can do is have a little fun on their employer's dime -- especially when they miss Thanksgiving and Christmas with their families for us

I spent over a decade in the army, I’m confused by this question. Can you clarify?

Most content i see on wholesome subreddits that is military related, and uses some form of vehicles or equipment to either make a funny video or it’s just the soldiers enjoying themselves. There always seems to be people who complain about “So this is where our tax dollars go to” Or “Yeah let’s take a break from murdering so we can do this”. I just don’t get the point. Why not just let them enjoy themselves for a little? Also thank you for your service, good sir.

Oh ok. I get it. It’s mostly because 99.9999 percent of people are totally clueless about defense spending, equipping, deployments, or just the basic prospect of soldiering and want to go on mean spirited rants to feel self important

Ah I see. Thank you.

I see that’s reddit doesn’t usually like wholesome military stuff like small Christmas parades with the tanks, or even just using the vehicles to create a funny video or something. Just curious why?
