I had to tweak in xtu and while playing modern warefare 105watts 4500ghz I’m averaging 56c and like 210fps. I’m still tweaking a little more and no throttling Sofar.
Or you could slap a 5800X3D in there, if your use case is gaming. That little beast directly competes with next-gen, and you won’t have to switch platforms! :D
That is gaming only tho, for productivity there are much better options. Also remember to get a solid cooler for it, stock may not cut it, and also to update bios before taking your old CPU out - older versions may not support the new CPUs!
Ummm. No one else is saying the obvious? This was pointless. The loudest fan in there is the CPU cooler fan and that's the one thing you didn't replace. You need to get a D15 or U12a before you even think about blowing all this money on case fans and custom sleeved PSU cables
I can’t hear any fan over the coil whine. There is no thermal need right now for a cooler. I went for an aesthetic over price to performance. Personal choice
You’re right. I do want to get a cooler as they look nicer. I was unsure about the clearance of the D15 in this case. Also, the updated D15 is coming out early next year. As I have no need thermally right now, I wanted to wait for the updated version.
Oh my sweet summer child. You must be new to r/noctua. Early next yearTM. They push stuff back CONSTANTLY. The A12x25 chromax was delayed like 3-4 years. That updated D15 isn't seeing the light of day until 2024
You should experiment with the top fan orientation. I have a similar case and having the top fan like that caused heat buildup there.
Like you could feel it on the top of the case.

Wait until you use a Noctua cpu cooler, that'll really rock your world. (I have the nhd15)
I second this, an NHD12 cooler would be fire in this build, think the ripjaws are too tall for an NHD15
I recommend the NH-U12A.
Just got that one and it’s cooling my i9 13900k💪
I'm thinking of same combo, do you have in game temps?

Also you can barely hear the fans on turbo
Temps a bit toasty on stock clock speeds?
Ich had this issue and just replaced the front 140mm fan with a 120mm one.
They fit together just fine in my rig.
I think I might wait until I upgrade my cpuand ram to ddr5. Only running a ryzen 5 3600

I’ll look into their proformance! Thanks

Yeah, clearly not necessary thermal wise at this point 😊
Welcome to the truth
Welcome to Noctua world. :)
Fucking beautiful.
Sleek build!
Fellow Meshify 2 Compact in gray! The best color ;)

Aesthetic of using a stock cooler? I don't get it

Thanks. I’ll look into it!
Very nice!
