I love his more flamboyant looks. Reminds me of Savage and David Bowie. Far too many wrestlers go for the t shirt and trunks look, and it’s nice to see a media example of a feminine dressing man who also lifts, is assertive and can kick someone’s ass
And it’s not just Seth, take a look at men’s clothing trends in general. We’re seeing a broader, cultural resurgence of 1970s style gender-bending after nearly 3 decades of hyper-machismo being forced onto men as the only way to look.
> We’re seeing a broader, cultural resurgence of 1970s style gender-bending after nearly 3 decades of hyper-machismo being forced onto men as the only way to look.
Huh? Can you give some examples, high profile or otherwise, of this?
Seems like you're using Seth's flamboyance as part of a character where he's literally lost his mind to wish-cast about wider society, but if you look at the most popular men today, men in major blockbusters and entertainment (including wrestling and all the other top men in WWE), or men in public life, it's still all about muscularity and masculinity. OK you have the odd exception like Timothee Chalomet, but we've always had those.
> Can you give some examples, high profile or otherwise, of this?
Look up Harry Styles on the cover of Vogue. Dresses in particular have become very common on male runways and red carpet events.
There's also a number of examples in Hip Hop as there's been a bit of a backlash against the hyper masculinity in the genre. Lil B would be a good example.
A rugby player this week in the 6 nations had his nails painted with his country’s flag.
Not a huge thing, but a sign of how ‘traditionally feminine” style is crossing across lines (rugby traditionally being thought of as super masculine)
I'm pretty sure he was trying to channel some Heath Ledger Joker when he started this gimmick as a heel, but then he got super over and he's just completely leaned into the "don't give a shit" chaotic good character as a face.
Seth looks ridiculous and I hate Theory but you can't have your champ folding like paper before the big match, it's bad for business. They're taking that belt off that boy asap
I just can't wait to see the despair in theory's face when he gets fine speech'd by John Cena
Going to be a top 10 moments of the year for sure, he'll sell it like death
Nice sell? You mean how his legs come off the ground before seth even lands on him premeditation at it’s finest
He’s good but damn that was selling way too early
Also what exactly is Seth’s gimmick now

Seth and Pretty deadly have to become a faction they’d all be perfect together
Pretty Freakin’ Deadly
Yes boy!
Insert "Seth cackle" at the end.
Imagine the Frock shopping vignettes.
Seth’s gonna be dressing like Hunter S Thompson in a few weeks at this rate!
I’m so for it
 (I know it’s Depp)
Seth joining Maximum Male Models next.
There I am. Holy shit! *Seth cackle* There I am!
Clearly I was a victim of a new gimmick.
Richard Nixon is a goddamned monster and I'll see you at Wrestlemania. *sniffs ether rag*
DOGS FUCKED THE POPE? NO FAULT OF MINE!
Goddamned Animals at this Mania Meet n Greet and someone's feeding them booze
LACE UP YOUR BOOTS QUICK! IMPOSSIBLE TO WALK IN THIS MUCK
The Rumble Diary
"stop using birdshot you asshole"
Theory has the one of the best sells of the stomp I've ever seen. It's perfectly over the top.
Theory just in general is one the great unsung sells on the current roster.
His [stunner sell](https://youtube.com/shorts/WyjKrhj0Fhc?feature=share) at Mania was one of the best ever lol
He went for that like he’d never get to do it again, which is likely
He somehow gave one of the best and one of the worst stunner sells of all time, at the same time
sweet fuck I forgot about this, and I'm in tears again
Successor to the Shawn Michaels selling
He better be careful, when ya sell/bump too good it leads to you getting your ass kicked more. See Ziggler.
He's quite sung though.
Reminds me of how RVD used to sell it. Like their head is really being stomped into the ground, good stuff!
Except for the Rumble, where he sold the stomp by being on his feet and in the ropes two seconds later in order to be eliminated. That was rough.
The Rumble requires some leeway even by wrestling standards. And it's glorious.
Homie got SPIKED
Second time I’ve seen him do that. Nicely done
Seth + Pretty Deadly vs. Tyler Breeze + MMM BROUGHT TO YOU BY
*Derelícte*
Why not all them together make an entire faction?
this loops pretty nicely
what in tarnation is seth wearing
Matt Hardy Collection, Spring 2000
He looks like a male escort whose clientbase is exclusively elves working at Santa's toy factory.
Elves working in Santa's factory is not the worst description of Becky I've ever heard if I'm being honest.

Becky's got to be dressing him
i thought it was El Phantasmo or Juice Robinson in WWE
Next Gen Macho Man
I wouldn't go home for like a month if I got curb stomped by a guy dressed like that. I love this goofy ass Rollins.
Rollins with the drip and Theory got spiked god damn great sell
Austin is always so good at selling stuff. Remember how he sold the stunner at mania last year?
His sell of the Tyson Fury punch was fantastic.
So has Seth just like….lost it?
He’s been this unhinged laughing maniac since 2021
I'm pretty sure he was trying to channel some Heath Ledger Joker when he started this gimmick as a heel, but then he got super over and he's just completely leaned into the "don't give a shit" chaotic good character as a face.
So I only follow wwe online at the moment cause I don’t have cable. This sounds funny though. Any recommended watching?
[Here's him and Bayley just laughing maniacally as a promo](https://youtu.be/SPVTE6QezVI)
Rollins has been serving w his fits lately
Hell of a Sell
Austin Theory is an amazing seller. The guy is a good pro wrestler.
We need Theory vs Ziggler. It’ll be like a round of Gang Beasts
Austin Theory is a masterful seller. It's what makes him so good. His sell job of the Tyson Fury punch at Clash at the Castle was phenomenal.
Seth is amazing.
Seth looks ridiculous and I hate Theory but you can't have your champ folding like paper before the big match, it's bad for business. They're taking that belt off that boy asap
That looked fucking stupid.
Seth "Freakin'" Rollins? more like Seth "Fruity" Rollins lul
Seth "Freaky Deaky" Rollins
Theory is going to be the next Ziggler I think
I just can't wait to see the despair in theory's face when he gets fine speech'd by John Cena Going to be a top 10 moments of the year for sure, he'll sell it like death
He literally just copied Nick Jacksons sell from Dynamite lmaooo he did ghe exact same thing head plant and throwing the arms back for the headstand
This is the neverending curbstomp video. Love it!
Soylent Green are people!
I haven’t watched wwe in like five years, wtf is Seth’s character suppose to be now…?
He's going to be the next Dolph Ziggler of selling if he is not careful.
Those first 5 seconds are gonna be so useful as a reaction gif.
This is the best I’ve ever seen Seth “Freaking” Rollins. Loving this character
Looks like he's getting lessons from HBK.
Theory is the Rick Rude of our era.
His sell @ the Royal Rumble was pretty great too!
At this rate, when Theory gets speared by the Tribal Chief, he’ll launch himself to the entrance ramp.
I saw that, laughed, and then immediately thought of [this](https://imgur.com/a/DWQoAio).
*heavy sigh* it’s a bump, not a sell! Also Theory is really good at taking bumps
Nice sell? You mean how his legs come off the ground before seth even lands on him premeditation at it’s finest He’s good but damn that was selling way too early Also what exactly is Seth’s gimmick now
Anyone else getting Macho Man vibes from Seth? I'm all for it.
You may not respect or like Theory but damn you have to like and respect this (and Theory)
Theory selling like the Rock is a thing he does now lmao
