The old days of 20 by 20 worlds were the best. they were like 5 times as big as the largest option now
Yeah the worlds were HUGE but they made your game lag so badly it was crazy
I remember when weapons were added
Same, it was super cool
No it wasn't, it was super boring
I reckon it was dope
What a conversation that was.
i remember when farm were just chess boards lol
i kinda hope the devs add ɑ way to play old verisons because i miss it lol
why are there 2 types of lowercase a in your message?
Sigma male grindset rule #262: always use a and ɑ to confuse betas
but they didn't capitalised the I's either instead writing them as i's which surely has to be intentional right?
I hope they add alpha way to play too
ᗩ Д A I have 3 different capitals only is true alphas can understand
I was there late 2019, took up so much of my time and I definitely had a lot of fun. Looking back I really can’t wait for the new update, not just for the banner editor or anything else but just for the war mechanics to be fixed again, which come to think of it, in 2019 we didn’t have armies, it was population vs population, you all got up and swam to the enemy, that’s how it was done.
I think the swimming armies should be a world law tbh. I was only there for like 3 days before the boat update but it was pretty fun cuz armies could fight over rivers and such, and moats were cooler.
Dude i remeber getting worlds up to 5000 and then in the corner of my eye just watching the march of the mighty 300 across the great ocean to go attack inok imperium
I started playing 1 month befoee the boat update
Forgot about the swimming armies! I take boats for granted now!
I remember those days.
Just got into the game recently aint og
Been playing for five years
How did you play it before it was even published?
The game was released on September 24, 2012
I did play around that time but I only used the game as a stress relief
Wow the game has really change since I started
Yep for sure, those were the good old days, but damn it’s better now
I remember a web version where you can't even control where people spawn. You just watch them grow like an ant farm. I don't know if it's from the same Developer but it's in kongregate and also named WorldBox
I'm pretty sure tye game started on flash so it could be
[i think this is the one you played](https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/603435)
Yep that's the one. But I played it on kongregate instead of newgrounds.
Enemy swim soldiers inbound get ready to wackem into the water
Damn I remember
i haven't had the game since it was in that stage, but I'm still in this sub for no apperant reason
Play it again the devs have done quite a bit and its getting better each year
maybe I will lol
Yeah the game was pretty empty then. I still enjoyed it but obviously the current one is a lot better.
Yeah definitly was empty compared to what it is now
Back when armies actually fought eachother
I recall the days of yore, back when diplomacy wasn’t a thing and nations murdered each other relentlessly regardless of race. I remember when boats didn’t exist and people swam across oceans to get to their destination. I remember when tile variations weren’t a thing.
And there were no individual kingdoms all races were extremely racist and it was on sight war when they came into contact 😂
Aún recuerdo cuando los mobs podían nadar por el mapa entero.
Me! Good ole day.
Its been like 2 and a half years and im still here :D
I really enjoyed when two populations would have at it with each other, but it is nice that they actually conquer cities instead of killing every man, woman, and child that lives there, only to refound the city and have it rebel 20 years later. It was honestly a vicious cycle of later worlds where they would destroy cities and rebuild them, only for them to rebel and get wiped out again.
I remember the old village design
I remember when before they added bows you’d have single soldiers annihilate 10s of soldiers with one hit of a legendary hammer.
Now they get hopelessly shot down by 20 archers
I remember seeing large armies cross massive oceans it was so hilarious
Damn, I remember when houses were all the same brown small houses with 1 block of black roads
Good ol’ days
Dude, i played when there weren't any diplomacy or armies, to start a war you had to put two cities form a different race close to each other
Pretty sure that wasn't even a very long time ago
I remember that
i first played last year dont know if that counts as og tho
I remember when there was only humans and my world was infested by chickens.
I was on before the minimizing was a thing
My armies definitely got pretty good swimming practice back in the day
Bro fax the game has come far from where it started
I remember when farms were squares
I joined when there were about 600 people in the subreddit, does anyone else remember the sealand wars?
the villages seemed to get bigger to, now it is usually just a big cluster but never spread out besides some cabins and tents. I also wish they built more roads like the beginning to.
Ngl I miss the massive surges of civilizations💀
I remember when you were able to put stones on the water
Jokes aside I really love the game and had been playing since 2019. I even remember making a list of things I wanted to see in worldbox on Twitter. And even some of those things actually happened.
I have!! I miss the old days omg I miss the old worlds
I remember back then. I didn’t play much back then tho
Ah yes, when kingdoms couldn't capture cities and the only thing they knew was to kill everyone and burn everything to the ground
I remember before boas, I was soooo excited for boas
Look at all of us reminicing on stuff like boats and weapons being added and now with the newbies were all collectively waiting for that modern day update🥲🥲😂
I am the original og. Back in my days, the textures were just big green pixels and I loved it, still do. Back then the latest new addition was city boarders and city populations.
I started playing early 2019. Pretty much nothing other than some basic civilization stuff and a few destructive tools were in.
*cries in nostalgia*
I remember when theres still no humans just orcs
I remember the days of old.
I remember seeing boats and I was like “woah!”
i am an OG i just don't Advertise it :|
I play since farmlands was like ores and cities was infinite, something like 2018
Actually we can have iceberg sized worlds now, but only on PC
I remember when stone houses had been introduced
Ah hood ole humble bumble
I have had this game on my phone for a long time, Is there a way to check when I first downloaded it?
God, I loved ambushing an entire army with a few piranhas, that was comedy gold.
Here I was there when it had the numbers to generate worlds
It was really bare yet my game would always end up crashing with the biggest world
Yup I was there
I’m and him and he is me
Been playing this game since the beginning even spent the 2.99 on the full version now it’s like 15$
I was there and I will say this game is the best now.
I remember when I read a post about how you could gather a chosen creature with the magnet and load them to another world when I first joined the subreddit a few years ago…
God I wish I could use that glitch again…
Yeah, i remember those days, though i used mobile. And the world box premium was like 5 dollars
It feels so weird looking back on it now. I remember when there were no inventories or boats and everything looked just a bit more pixelated. Good times
I remember that.
Yep. I remember how happy I was when in the winter of 2019 the kingdoms learned to fight each other, not just take wars against other races. Then everyone could walk on the mountains or jump into the lava, and the piranha was an unkillable leviathan. And how much it was changed in the spring of 2020: barracks, weapons and bows, new animals and Krabzilla appeared, but Max turned off the pyromaniac trait and the tumor became indestructible. Sometimes I even used its tiles as a fence for some island ... How cool the game has changed during this time)
I remember that for some reason, the Game of Life would appear and destroy settlements. And no, i didnt place it.
